Little Prairie Bible Camp

LPBC is a non-profit corporation composed of Christians who are interested in spiritual growth through Christian camping.  Located five miles northeast of Rolla, Missouri, LPBC is an area-wide Christian Camp which is available for use by all Christians in central Missouri.  Although membership in LPBC is not a requirement in order to use the camp, membership helps support the Camp and entitles the member to have a voice in how the Camp is run and what facilities will be built.
LPBC is not under the oversight of any specific congregation of the Church of Christ, but rather is governed by a board of 12 Directors who are elected in two year terms by the members of LPBC.  Election of officers and voting on other members of LPBC.  Election of officers and voting on other motions which affect LPBC is done at the annual meeting of the membership of LPBC on the first Saturday in October.

Little Prairie Bible Camp (LPBC) is a non-profit Christian corporation dedicated to helping people grow closer to Jesus Christ and to one another through Christian camping.

Located just five miles northeast of Rolla, Missouri, LPBC is an area-wide Church of Christ camp and retreat center serving Christians throughout central Missouri and beyond. We welcome youth, adults, families, churches, and groups seeking a Christ-centered environment for spiritual growth, fellowship, and encouragement.

Our Mission

It is the mission of Little Prairie Bible Camp to provide a loving Christian camp experience that helps youth, adults, and families develop a personal, growing, Spirit-filled relationship with God and His Son, Jesus Christ, and to share their faith with others.

Our Purpose

The purpose of LPBC is simple: to influence others for Christ and to draw everyone who comes here closer to Jesus and to each other.

We accomplish this through:

LPBC exists as a place of retreat and renewal—a place where people of all ages can step away from everyday distractions, reflect on God's purpose, strengthen their faith, and return home encouraged to live for Christ.

Christian camping has a unique ability to change lives, and that belief has guided LPBC since the very beginning.

Our History

The story of Little Prairie Bible Camp began in 1969 when a Christian family donated 60 acres of land for the purpose of building a Christian camp.

For the first few years, little development took place. Then, through faith, hard work, and countless volunteer hours, the vision became a reality.

Over the years:

  • 49,000 pine trees were planted across the property.

  • The original farmhouse was remodeled to serve as the Director's quarters, canteen, arts and crafts area, and kitchen.

  • The old barn was dismantled, and its lumber was used to build the first four cabins.

  • A swimming pool, bath house, baseball field, water system, and sewer system were added.

  • A fifth cabin was built through the efforts of Christians from Jadwin and Salem.

  • In 1980, a 60' x 120' multi-purpose building was completed, featuring a modern kitchen, cooks' quarters, a large fireplace, and space for indoor activities and worship.

  • In 1994, a new bathhouse and modern facilities replaced the original structure.

Nearly every improvement at LPBC has been made possible through volunteer labor, generous donations, and the blessings of God.

Since 1974, LPBC has hosted summer Bible camp sessions that have impacted generations of young people. Many campers have given their lives to Christ here, and countless others have grown stronger in their faith through the friendships and experiences they have shared at camp.

Our Campers

Campers range in age from 5 to 18 years old and spend their time at LPBC building friendships, learning from God's Word, worshiping together, and making memories that last a lifetime.

Whether it's a first-time camper attending Day Camp or a teenager returning for another summer, our goal remains the same:

Help every camper grow closer to God and to one another.

Leadership & Governance

LPBC is affiliated with the Churches of Christ but is not overseen by any single congregation.

The camp is governed by a Board of 12 Directors who are elected by the membership of LPBC and serve two-year terms. These dedicated Christian volunteers come from congregations across Missouri and are committed to preserving the heritage and mission of Little Prairie Bible Camp.

Members of LPBC elect officers and vote on important matters affecting the camp during the annual membership meeting held on the first Saturday in October.

Become a Member

Membership is not required to attend camp or use the facilities.

However, membership is an important way to support the ministry of LPBC and help shape its future. Members provide financial support, elect the Board of Directors, and have a voice in decisions regarding the camp's ministry and facilities.

Together, we continue the mission of helping people grow in faith through Christian camping.
