We think this is when we first used the prairie dog as a camp logo. Camp prices remained the same as the previous year: $30 for the one-week sessions and $50 for the two-week session. However, session limits were raised to 32 campers per session, up from 28 per session the year before.
From inside the brochure: 1976 - The Third Season From 57 campers in our first year, Little Prairie Bible Camp expanded to 118 in our 1975 "second summer." And while there were many physical improvements, to already existing facilities, our greatest single physical plant improvement was the construction of a sixty-foot long swimming pool, and, this spring, the deepening of our well to 470 feet assuring a 50-gallon-a-minute flow. Little Prairie Bible Camp now gives all the indications of an awakening giant... let your imagination go. Let it encompass retreats, weekend workshops, fellowships for everyone from youngsters to widows. It will take more facilities to do this type of activity... but our Little Prairie Board thinks more in terms of people, than of buildings. We like to look at what benefits people can derive from our beautiful sixty acres of rolling prairie and hills in the Ozarks, then make a decision on how to get the necessary physical plant. But our youth is still our primary concern... the very heart of the reasons for Little Prairie Bible Camp's existence. And we seek YOUR support... moral... physical in terms of work... financial, and youth participation. Come be a part of our family of Christians at Little Prairie Bible Camp... it's a large family and growing every year... but there is still room for you! |
